Seeing as how the whole world is going to have to find something else to put in it’s gas tank beside gasoline, a cheap and efficient way to produce hydrogen is badly needed. Researchers at the University of California at Berekely have engineered a strain of pond scum that with further refinements could produce vast amounts of hydrogen.
